"Honoring the Glorious Past Through Film, Forever Upholding the Red Spirit" ——2025 Red Education Thematic Activity by the CPC Share Power Party Branch
Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression: Share Power Co., Ltd. Launches "Cinematic Reflections on History, Eternal Legacy of the Red Spirit" Themed Event. On the afternoon of August 11, 2025, to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and to further advance the regularized activities of Party history education and red-themed learning, the Party Branch of Share Power Co., Ltd., in collaboration with the Human Resources Department, organized a special event titled "Cinematic Reflections on History, Eternal Legacy of the Red Spirit." All Party members and employees gathered to watch the historical war film Nanjing Photo Studio, revisiting the nation’s collective memory through cinematic storytelling and drawing inspiration to forge ahead.
The film is based on true historical events during the Nanjing Massacre, set in the fallen city of Nanjing in 1937. It follows the fate of ordinary people in "Jixiang Photo Studio." When postman A Chang develops photos for Japanese soldiers, he discovers film negatives documenting the atrocities of the massacre. Alongside the studio’s owner, Lao Jin, and opera performer Lin Yuxiu, they awaken to the grim reality and risk their lives to preserve irrefutable evidence of Japanese war crimes.
The screening was solemn and poignant. The audience held their breath and clenched their fists as the film depicted Japanese soldiers publicly murdering an infant to stage a "friendly photo." Tears welled up when Lao Jin unveiled a backdrop of the Forbidden City, Chenghuang Temple, Yellow Crane Tower, and the Great Wall, prompting his family to cry out, "Our beautiful land—not an inch shall be surrendered!" The haunting contrast between the innocent Nanjing nursery rhyme "How High Are the City Gates?" and scenes of Japanese troops looting city bricks and distorting history left the theater in silent, grief-stricken tears—a visceral response to history and a profound realization of the hard-won peace of today. As the lights came on, the screen lingered on modern Nanjing’s tree-lined streets. Stepping out of the theater, the sight of a thriving nation, unscathed and aglow with countless lights, stood as the ultimate testament to the sacrifices of countless martyrs—a legacy this generation must cherish and uphold with unwavering dedication.
Building on this red-themed educational event, Share Power’s employees will take "Cinematic Reflections on History" as a starting point to revisit revolutionary history, inherit the red spirit, and integrate this legacy into their daily responsibilities, continuing to uphold their mission in the new era!
